Public Web Sites

The Information We Collect

Some areas of the Cojol Inc Family of web sites may collect personally identifiable information such as Name, Email Address, Phone Number, Fax Number, address, comments, etc. This information is only ever collected with the user’s knowledge and consent.

From time to time our websites may also collect personal information about third parties that you supply. For instance this may be the email address of someone you wish to inform about a document on our web site(s).

Future upgrades to our web sites, or the addition of new features and products, may collect additional information than those outlined above.

We also may collect certain non-personally identifiable information when you visit many of our web pages such as the type of browser you are using (e.g., Netscape, Internet Explorer, Opera), the type of operating system you are using, (e.g., Windows '95, 98, XP or Mac OS X) and the domain name of your Internet service provider (e.g., Rogers, Sympatico).

How We Use the Information

We may use the information you provide about yourself to fulfill your requests for our products, programs, and services, to respond to your inquiries about our offerings, and to offer you other products, programs or services that we believe may be of interest to you.

We sometimes use this information to communicate with you, such as to notify you about new products, programs or services, or to contact you about your account with us.

We use the information that you provide about others to enable us to send them information you have requested us to send. We will not use their information for any other purpose.

We do not exchange (sell, rent, distribute) your personally identifiable information with third parties for any purpose, except; we may disclose personally identifiable information in response to legal process, for example, in response to a court order or a subpoena. We also may disclose such information in response to a law enforcement agency's request.

If we wish to make anything you submit available to the public, for example, comments or feedback on our services or products, we will do so only after receiving your permission for such purpose. In some areas of our web sites we may ask for such permission prior to your submitting the information, and this will be clearly indicated.

We sometimes use the non-personally identifiable information that we collect to improve the design and content of our site and to enable us to personalize your Internet experience. We also may use this information in the aggregate to analyze site usage, as well as to offer you products, programs, or services.

Agents and contractors of Cojol Inc. who have access to personally identifiable information are required to protect this information in a manner that is consistent with this Privacy Notice by, for example, not using the information for any purpose other than to carry out the services they are performing for Cojol Inc.

Although we take appropriate measures to safeguard against unauthorized disclosures of information, we cannot assure you that personally identifiable information that we collect will never be disclosed in a manner that is inconsistent with this Privacy Notice.

Finally, the Cojol Inc. sites covered by this Privacy Notice will not use or transfer personally identifiable information provided to us in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you with an opportunity to opt out of these unrelated uses.

Cookies

To enhance your experience with our sites, many of our web pages use "cookies." Cookies are text files we place in your computer's browser to store your preferences. Cookies, by themselves, do not tell us your e-mail address or other personally identifiable information unless you choose to provide this information to us by, for example, registering at one of our sites. However, once you choose to furnish the site with personally identifiable information, this information may be linked to the data stored in the cookie.

We use cookies to understand site usage and to improve the content and offerings on our sites. For example, we may use cookies to personalize your experience at our web pages (e.g., to recognize you by name when you return to our site), save your password in password-protected areas, and enable you to use shopping carts on our sites. Private Web Sites

The following applies to members.dynamicrelease.com.

Cojol Inc. has developed a tool for use by our clients known as DynamicRelease™. This tool allows our clients to manage the content of their web sites, as well as providing the ability for their site users to order products or services online, register for newsletters, seminars and events, and other activities involving the possible exchange of personally identifiable information. DynamicRelease™ makes use of common content management tools and a shared database.

We advises that our clients develop a privacy notice for their web sites and post such notice on any pages that collect personally identifiable information.

Cojol Inc. makes no representation as to how our clients may use the information they collect through web sites developed by us, or stored within the common databases of DynamicRelease™. Cojol Inc will not be responsible if one of our clients uses personally identifiable information collected by, or stored in, DynamicRelease™ improperly or in violation of their privacy notice, or local, provincial, or federal laws.

Cojol Inc. employees and designated agents have access to the information stored in the common databases in order to develop web sites, manage our clients’ content on their behalf and troubleshoot problems with DynamicRelease™ and client web sites. We will not use any of the information, including that which is personally identifiable, in any way inconsistent with our client’s privacy policies. We will not send unsolicited email, sell, rent, or exchange the personally identifiable information collected by or on behalf of our clients.
